Day 27
Total weight loss to date 27.6 pounds

Before the EAC days off and weekends usually were built around cooking out or some new recipes that I wanted to create. Food was pretty much the focus of any relaxation. This past weekend and the last several have been quite a bit different. Food has not been the focus at all. Actually yesterday finding some clothes that fit better and weren’t too baggy was one of my tasks. All those clothes that I have been keeping hoping to get to wear again one day..well it looks like that day is here and more to come. On another note, I won’t be hanging on to the fat clothes, I won’t ever need them again!

The steps to joining the Extreme Accountability Challenge are:

Step 1-Weigh and take a photo of the reading on the scales
Step 2-post to all of Facebook (tag me in the post so that you are added to our group)
Step 3-Repeat everyday until you reach your goal weight.
We don’t tell you what to eat or how to exercise but I think you will find this to be the most powerful appetite suppressant you have ever used

Completing 25 days of what I had originally planned as a 252 day journey to 175 pounds. I know that I have a long way to go still but there is no doubt that I will get to 175 pounds. This is the first time in my adult life that I know that I can do this. If you’re wondering how I know, here’s the formula:

– I am following a proven eating plan that isn’t some fad diet but one that I’ve watched a friend lose 65 pounds and keep it off for over 10 years. It’s doable and proven over time to work.
– I have the most extreme accountability that I’ve ever heard of, YOU! Lots of you are watching, some liking, some commenting. That gives me willpower that I have never had before.
– I’ve made up my mind, onceand for all . I will never be obese again as long as I live. And remember never underestimate the power of a made up mind.

If you’ve made up your mind and are done being overweight. Join us and start posting your weight daily to Facebook. You have as much courage as you decide to have. The real question for me and you is not whether we want to lose the weight, of course we do, but how badly do you want to be healthy and thin? Make up your mind and get it done.

When I first posted my scales and my commitment to reach 175 pounds in 252 days I didn’t realize all those that would join me in this journey. There’s no question about it, at times it’s really hard to resist the temptations of the old behavior of over eating and to stay the course, but knowing that there are others on this journey with me makes it so much easier to stay the course. 25 days into a 252 day journey still leaves a lot of ground to cover. Birthdays, holidays, cook outs, so much of our lives revolve around food, but those events will just be successfully overcome just like the last 25 days.

Extreme Accountability Challenge
Down 24.2 pounds total

While from my view of my scales and probably your view of them also, this looks like a petty slow process. Kind of like watching paint dry. Half a pound hhere, a pound there, up a quarter pounder down a third. And on and on. That’s probably why so many “experts” say not to weigh daily, some recommend to weigh even less than that. But if we step back and see what’s really taking place, fast forward the film, weight loss is occurring steadily for me and others on this journey with me at a pretty incredible rate. Because I’m weighing daily and posting it’s giving me willpower that I’ve never had, last night when no one was watching, I would have cheated on my program, no…. I would have cheated on myself, my life, my health, and my dreams, for one more bite of food that this body certainly didn’t need. No I didn’t cheat, I stayed the course because I know what I want and posting everyday makes me face the truth daily.
175 pounds here I come!
