It seems like a long time since 03/15/17 when I posted my scales for the first time. Thanks to everyone for the likes and encouraging comments each day. Knowing that you are watching keeps me on the straight and narrow each day.

Extreme Accountability Challenge

Wow 30 days of showing my Facebook world my scales every day. Day one was exhilarating and terrifying at the same time. To think I had let myself, a average frame man, 5’11” tall, get to a mammoth 304 pounds, and even though anyone that looked at me could see that I was fat, somehow admitting it to the world with a picture of my scales would be like admitting something that everyone already knew. I could run from it but there’s just no way to hide 129 pounds of fat. But really the real hesitation was what if I posted and failed and remained fat. What a bigger fool I would be. But I had to really dig deeper, if I admitted this daily, I would have to give up this love affair with food once and for all. That’s really the question isn’t it? What was I, or maybe what are you willing to do to lose the weight? If you’re crazy enough to join me and several others, that by the way I had no idea would join me, do you really want to change or is it just talk? Not me, I’m done with looking around the room to see who’s fatter than me so that I can eat one more bite that I don’t need or really want. I know you probably don’t have 129 pounds to lose, but guess what? I didn’t either in the beginning, it was 5 here, then, 10 there, and pretty soon 50, 60, then over 100 pounds!
I will get to 175 pounds, I will be healthy again, will you?

Total weight loss to date 27.6 pounds

After 4 weeks of posting my weight loss journey on Facebook and to the world, I’ve come to appreciate the accountability that this has created for me. Each and every bite of food that I place in my mouth I think about. ” Is this going to move me closer to my ultimate health and weight of 175 pounds or further away?” Knowing that you will be watching makes a huge difference. One of the most common comments that I see is that weighing daily is a bad idea. That may be true for some but I have proven that I can’t take my eyes off the goal or I won’t make it. Yes I weigh daily, sure I have ups and downs but I’m having way more weight downs than ever!

If you’re sick and tired of being sick and tired and really ready to charge join us and start posting everyday, yes even when you don’t want to!

Total weight loss to date 27.2 pounds

Moving forward. Sticking to the program and using the accountability of posting my weight daily on Facebook to get through those times when I would normally cheat. I am not cheating this time because you are watching! Very effective appetite suppressant!
